This stout rectangle dazzler mesmerizes. A piece of 2” x 10” steel is covered on both sides with silver mirror pieces and scattered bits of color and iridescent glass. Each mirror bit is snug cheek by jowl with the next. There is no grout only mirror against mirror for maximum sparkle. The geometry of the sun catcher creates a patchwork of flash. Each side features a lovely bit of beveled mirror that when light struck just so, throws rainbows among reflections. Mirror reflections and rainbows enhance garden mellow, are less trouble than a fish tank and cheaper than therapy.
Hang this lovely mover outside or inside. Just make sure it won't knock against anything in a stiff wind. Keep the night in mind, too. Ambient light-lamp, moon, automobile headlights-make the sun catcher flash like paparazzi. Sun catcher math: light + movement = maximum sparkle.
